He's one of our own, Maximus Hardy, he's one of our own !

Maximus Hardy has been playing football for Glinton and Northborough FC for more than 4 years. He is a great team player and very unassuming, both at school and in general, so many don't know that, whilst working for his GCSEs and continuing to play football, Maximus has another passion.

Since he was 4 years old he has been following in his Dad's footsteps. First racing mini motorbikes and karts, then progressing up to ever bigger machines. This has culminated in Maximus qualifying to race in the British Superbikes GP2 class, a huge achievement which moves him one step closer to becoming a full time professional racer for a factory linked team.

As you can probably imagine, racing at any level is a huge financial undertaking and the further you progress, the more expensive it becomes. Maximus has been fortunate enough to secure some key sponsors but his racing remains a major financial commitment for his family and this is where we can all help.

The club would like to support Maximus on his journey by raising at least £1,000, so we are asking everyone associated with the club if they would be prepared to make a small donation.

Of course, if anyone is associated with a business that would like to discuss sponsoring Maximus in a more significant way, that would be amazing. If this is the case, please contact the club.
