McKinney Wedding & Honeymoon
Donation protected
My name is Amanda Koontz and that handsome man with muscles in the photo is my fiance' Craig McKinney. We are on a mission to raise money to fund our wedding and honeymoon set to take place September 2018. Although this won't be our first marriage, it is our first wedding and we are so excited to include our friends far and wide, family across the nation, and everyone else who comes across our love story with a giving heart.
Craig and I crossed paths by chance when I was working as a waitress/college student in my hometown Augusta, GA where he has been stationed on Active Duty with the Army. It took some encouragement from friends on both sides to get up the courage for introductions, but we made it and our first date a few days later was a whopping 9 hours long the very same day I walked across the stage with my Bachelor's degree.
From that day forward Craig and I have been inseparable, aside from the 4 months I spent in Kuwait in early 2017 as a NC Air National Guardsman. We've combined everything in our lives including our 4 wonderful daughters (thats right, 4 girls between the 2 of us) our homes, families, friends, and careers. While Craig continues to committ his life to our nations security and freedom while coaching Crossfit @ Crossfit4everyone, I have since become a veteran, full-time Graduate student, waitress, and part-time dress stylist @ Davids Bridal.
Despite everything we have to our benefit, surprisingly we were not prepared for what the cost to bring everyone we love together to witness our promise of love and committment would be. So we've decided to get with the times and start a GoFundMe so that our family, friends, and even strangers could contribute to the cause. We would like to replace a wedding registry and traditional gift-giving with an opportunity to contribute to our honeymoon and/or wedding.
We are hoping to make it memorable, beautiful and frugal by ensuring we are saving as much as is being donated with personal goals to match it dollar for dollar. We cannot express how much it will mean to us for the support and contribution for memories that will last us a lifetime. We have also made personal comittments to give 100% of anything leftover to a charity in support of helping children in our local community who have been misplaced from their families.
Thank you so much for taking the time to read our story and to all of the people in our lives thank you so much for passing on the food processors to help us share our perfect day with perfect people.
