Medical Relief for my Family
Hello, my name is Ryan Wisniewski and my wife (Ashley) and I have a son named Gage... I will attempt to summarize our story into a short one and will update as much as possible... I have been diagnosed with a nerve disorder called RSD/CRPS in my left leg (primarily in my left foot) that I got as a result from a simple routine knee surgery back in October of 2012... Since than, I have had over 50 outpatient procedures (including injections, trials with medical equipment, and putting a spinal chord stimulator in my lower back), and spent tens of thousands of dollars in medical bills as a result... It is a horrific condition that disables most who have it, and is known to be one of the most painful diseases that exists today... My wife and I celebrated our first born child on December 17th, 2014... He weighed in at 9lbs, 9oz and was 22.5 inches long... Needless to say he was a BIG BOY who had a hard time entering into the world... My wife had a very difficult delivery leaving her with a lot of medical issues that required surgery on April 1st, 2015... My son suffered left arm nerve damage called Erbs Palsy, or Brachial Plexis due to the rough delivery... He attends physical therapy at least once a week at Phoenix Children's Hospital to help develop his motor functions/skills and the use of his arm...He will require surgery within the next 4-6 weeks, along most likely with more surgeries to come... There is no cure for my RSD/CRPS as I will have to fight it the rest of my life, but truthfully my hope is that my son and wife will make a full recovery... We both work full time at our respective companies and carry health insurance, and in my case double-insured thru both of our jobs, but are still severly drowning in medical bills... We have tried numerous things like borrowing against/taking out of our 401k's, working a lot of OT, charging medical expenses on our credit cards, moving into my parents house last year to try and save some money, and have taken personnal loans from people all in an effort to help and alleviate some of the pressure but the bills continue to pour in... We have exhausted all of our financial options thus leading us to ask for help... Any money that is donated will help go towards our medical expenses for past, present, and future procedures/medical needs... We are very grateful to all for the thoughts, prayers, and support thru this very difficult time in our family's life...
