We are pleased to announce that Meili Aspen has been selected as a contestant in the Little Miss division for the preliminary competition of the Miss United States Pageant held February 7, 2015 in Honolulu, Hawaii! The crowned queens will represent Hawaii in the National Miss United States held July 2015 in Washington DC.
The Miss Hawaii United States Organization (MHUSO) is based on a solid commitment to uphold the standards of fairness and integrity. MHUSO prides itself in providing an avenue for each young woman to give a voice to those needing to be heard, to lend a hand to those less fortunate, and to be a compass for those daring to dream.
The Miss Hawaii United States Organization gives women the opportunity to promote a platform of community service. The pageant system allows young women all over the country to interact and discuss their achievements in service and volunteerism. It promotes the intellect, moral character and personal engagement of its outstanding participants as they pursue success in achievement.
To prepare for college we will be focusing on other scholarship pageant organizations as she gets older, but for now, this platform upholds the lesson I am currently teaching Meili. She has already documented many hours of community service at The Boys and Girls Club BI Hawaii, Queen Lilioukulani Children’s Center, and during the afterschool EdVentures program at E.B. DeSilva Elementary School as a Mentor and Peer Leader in proper behavior and conflict resolution and also as an entertainer in the art of hula and as a vocalist at the Hale Anuenue Restorative Care Center.
On Sunday July 6th, 2014 the National Director of the Miss United States Organization, Chris Wilmer, announced this organizations new partnership with the Miss World Pageant, the oldest standing international beauty pageant and one of the most publicized beauty contests in the world.
We are thrilled Meili will be participating is this televised event and are humbled to ask for your sponsorship. We are looking to raise $1500 to help with expenses. Our family is grateful for any amount given and we will proudly print your name and any well wishes on the Program Ad Page.
