HELP! Memorial Services for Min LaShelle Stanley

Donation protected
Minister LaShelle Stanley (61) passed away at Trellis Hospice on July 5th. She was rushed to the hospital on May 28th and there she was diagnosed with small cell lung cancer that had metastasized into her brain and within less than 5 weeks she parted this life. She leaves behind one child, her beloved son, Shaqwaun (age 25), who was truly her world and his husband Chris.
LaShelle was a GO-GETTER. She was a strong advocate fighting for domestic violence, LGBT rights and all forms of child abuse. She had deep love for people from all walks of life and even in her more than 20 years of physical challenges, fought for the humane treatment of others. Her smile, laughter and love will be missed dearly and any amount you can donate will be greatly appreciated.

We are asking for your support and your help with making a donation of any amount. Losing a mother is devastating at any age, as anyone who has had to say a final goodbye can attest. For Shaqwaun, losing his mother is extremely hard. He was her world. She was the forever cheerleader of his life. The close bond they shared was more than just mother and son, but often he was the caretaker of his mother, who had been diagnosed with lupus in her 20’s and was often in a wheelchair due to limited mobility. Now he must lay his mother to eternal rest and find a way to adjust to his new normal. That is where we are asking for your help; with final arrangements for Min. LaShelle, the financial burden of funeral cost and creating a re-set for this mother’s beloved son.
As stated, LaShelle was a go-getter, raising funds for others. Now it is the community’s opportunity to raise funds for her loved one. She has been a great friend to many. We never know our hour or time, but today is a chance to be a blessing to this family in their great time of need.

We greatly appreciate your kind words and thoughts of encouragement, but financial support is what we are seeking at this time. Funeral services are planned for July 21, 3pm at ReNewal Fellowship UCC 1350 Jonestown Road Winston Salem, NC.
Please keep Shaqwaun, Chris, and the entire family in your prayers, thank you.
