Lynn Gifford Memorial Tribute

On February 16, 2021,  we lost a dear friend and beloved educator in BHUSD, Lynn Gifford.   Lynn attended Beverly Vista and Beverly Hills High School and then worked in BHUSD as a Special Education Teacher for 25 years.  Her passion was teaching Special Needs Pre-K and she loved teaching her children about nature and kindness through songs, dance, and creating arts and crafts.   In her 25 years, Lynn had a special place in the hearts of the school communities she worked with, including Horace Mann, Beverly Vista and Hawthorne. 

To honor Lynn and her love of nature, her friends would like to create a lasting legacy by dedicating a tree to her at each of these school sites.  We will partner with the Beverly Hills Education Foundation to create a plaque with her name and her mantra, “Peace and Love”, to be placed alongside each one of these trees.    Any additional funds received will be used to purchase benches to place next to these trees.
