On Thanksgiving day, just days after her 17th birthday, Vanessa Mendoza’s life was forever changed when her vehicle was struck by a drunk driver traveling more than 100mph through a red light. Vanessa, once a beloved Albuquerque High School cheerleader was forced to endure multiple surgeries and months of hospitalization. She is now quadriplegic and suffers from a traumatic brain injury leaving her wheelchair bound and totally dependent upon her family to provide round the clock care. This extremely close family has worked tirelessly through joy and sorrow to stay together and carry on as a family As if this were not tragedy enough, the house the Mendoza’s have been living in was badly damaged by an electrical fire. Once again, the Mendoza family plans to face their tragic circumstances with dignity and strength but they need your help. Vanessa’s needs are great and the financial expenses extend far beyond what is available. The rest of the family works tirelessly every chance they get to make ends meet. This family WORKS HARD. Unfortunately, they are now displaced and have lost most of their belongings in the fire. While their house will be repaired, it will take time and they will need money to stay together and keep a roof over their heads. Please Help.
