Help Michael Imel, Liver-Bile Duct Terminal Cancer

Hi, I am Michael's mom, and I am trying to raise funds for my son Michael who is 48 yrs. old and his family to help pay monthly bills, groceries, etc. Some of you might know Michael from Daves Backflow Testing, he took over the business two years ago when his dad David retired. His health started declining little by little two years ago but got worse and worse as time went on. The hospitals couldn't find anything except he was always low on fluids and send him home. He has been in and out of the hospital so many times this past year with no new diagnosis.

They finally kept him in December when he could barely hold his head up or walk. Unfortunately, they found a mass on his liver, took a biopsy, and it came back that the mass was Cancer and that it has spread to his bile ducts. He has been so weak he has been forced to close the business. We have tried getting help from every agency around for the past year and the most they have gotten is food stamps of $200.00 for the three of them which isn't enough. They have a 16 yr old which is always hungry, but they are making do best they can. We, his parents and his wife's parents have helped so much over the past two years trying to keep him afloat, but we just found out that Social Security Disability isn't going to pay him anything until June. They are holding it for that long. I don't understand how they expect anyone to survive for 5 months without any income.

I have never begged for help in my life, but I know Mike and his family can't survive for that much longer. He needs help paying his Mortgage, utilities, Insurance, groceries and child support. They gave him 1 to 5 yrs. of survival but if the past two years are any indication on how fast the Cancer is spreading were not even sure he will make it to see a Social Security Disability check. We will never give up hope but there is nothing they can do to save his life, maybe just prolong it but only God knows for how long.

I know times are hard for everyone, but if you can spare anything to help us through these five months, we would be so grateful and appreciate it so much.
