Posted on behalf of Michelle & Tom Pesce:
Our brother passed away unexpectedly last Thursday night. Those who knew him know that his daughters, Abby and Juju, were the center of his world.
We set up this fund to help prepare for their future in his absence.
We are all so grateful for the outpouring of love and support for our family in this difficult time. We thank you from the bottom of our hearts
His obituary and information regarding his services can be found below:
Michael R. Pesce, 42, passed away unexpectedly Thursday afternoon.
We are sad to report that this is not a Mike Pesce joke.
Born August 19, 1977 in Youngstown, Michael was a son of Robert “Bobby” and Betsy Jane Morrison Pesce and a lifelong member of the Youngstown community.
Michael was employed by the Mahoning County Board of DD as a Service and Support Administrator for 7 years and prior to that was employed by the Youngstown Developmental Center. But let’s not forget his first job as everyone’s favorite face at First Row Video!
Michael adored his daughters, his brother, sister, niece and the New Kids On The Block. He was a passionate concert and movie aficionado, loved the Cleveland Browns, Coca-Cola and The Beatles. His epic and off-beat sense of humor had a positive impact on everyone he crossed paths with. Michael was a graduate of Ursuline High School ’97 and Youngstown State University ‘09.
Michael leaves to cherish his memory, his precious daughters, Abbey and Julia; brother, Thomas (Kelly) Pesce and their daughter Mackenzie; sister, Michelle Pesce all of Los Angeles; aunts, Suzanne (Alfred) Fleming, Debbie Pesce all of Youngstown; Barbara (Bruce) Wilford of Ridgeville; Madonna (Paul) Alexander, Ruth Morrison all of Columbus; uncle, Robert (Sherry) Morrison of Shelby Township, Michigan; ThomasPesce of Youngstown; stepdaughters, Leah and Lindsey Cleland; former wife, Stacey Cleland; his girlfriend, Jodi Broll and his honorary stepfather, Michael Savage.
Besides his parents, Michael was preceded in death by many beloved grandparents, uncles and aunts.
The family will receive relatives and friends Thursday March 5, 2020 from 10:00 am to 12:45 pm at St. Edward Church followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 1:00 pm. There will be a communal celebration of life at 2pm at Westside Bowl and children (big and small) are encouraged to join.
The family has requested in lieu of flowers that contributions be made to The Pesce Daughter account via Go Fund Me or to Michael’s brother, Thomas Pesce. More information is available on McCauley’s website, linked below.
