Michael Pomes Hit and Run Accident Recovery Fund

On Wednesday, August 12th at approximately 11:00 am, Michael Pomes was riding his bike east on 518 and was struck by a car at the Hobbs Rd intersection by the Taco Bell. The driver started to exit his vehicle and then fled from the scene. A kind woman called 911, but was not able to get the license plate number on his car. All we know is that it was a small SUV.  Police have been notified.


Michael is in the hospital with significant injuries. He has 4 broken ribs, both his bottom and top jaws are broken, and his teeth are severely damaged or missing. He cannot eat solid food. We are waiting for MRI results of a possible shoulder injury as well. He is in excruciating pain and is unable to have the comfort of his wife Lisa, and 3 kids at the hospital due to COVID-19 restrictions.


Financially, this is devastating for the Pomes family.  As a commission-based Loan Organizer, Michael   relies on sales for his income.  Currently, Lisa and Michael are supporting two kids in college.  Lisa works as a Catholic school teacher.
