GIVING BACK TO MIKE JONES

Donation protected
Dearest Friends,

We’ve all lost a true angel... Michael Jones (aka; Jonesy) was taken away from his beloved wife Andrea, his family, and his friends on Wednesday, March 29, 2017 from a tragic head-on collision.

Heart broken by this loss and feeling helpless, friends have come together to create this memorial page to help ease the financial burden Andrea and the family now face from funeral expenses and loss of income.

Not only  that, but recently Michael and Andrea suffered a financial setback while in the process of re-renovating their soon-to-be new home. Yes, re-renovating. Towards the end of the 1st renovation their home caught fire, causing major damage. They were nearing the completion of their re-renovation and were just days from moving in, when Michael lost his life. Unfortunately, there is no life insurance to defer costs. Michael’s unimaginable death is just too much for the family to bare, let alone have to deal with financial concerns.

This memorial page was setup to give those looking to assist financially, a way to do so. All funds raised will go towards what we like to call “Giving Back to Michael”. Both Michael and Andrea have been generous to so many over the years. Now, it’s our turn to be generous and return the favor. LET’S MAKE HIM PROUD!

Below is the most beautiful tribute to Michael written by his Sister-in-law, Melissa. No truer words ever spoken.

RIP, Michael, my dearly departed brother-in-law...
My sister was just 15 when they met, so Michael came to our home, knocked on the door, and introduced himself to my parents and asked their permission to take her on a date. That’s the kind of stand-up guy he was. He loved her to pieces. Michael is the one person I knew with the most legendary stories, and everyone who has ever met him has several. His first time skiing, he was on the black Diamond. When they had a boat, I was on the thing twice when the motor busted, and he fixed it as we drifted out towards sea. He once drove by me doing a wheelie on his motorcycle, and the bike stories can last for hours. Every time he hunted, he shot a buck with his bow & arrow and shared the meat with his friends . He was a grilling king, of course. When my bands would play, he’d be right up front, stomping like a Celtic dancer. Hilarious. Everything he did was NATURALLY over the top, and he was magnificently kind. Michael and my sister took in a few friends were homeless, “couch-surfers,” and he was the guy who would help friends with every project known to man. Before they moved NY state for a while, the first thing Michael did when he found a property with a few acres was call his friends with backhoes to excavate and create his own 9-hole golf course, and it was used every weekend by him and so many others, just for fun. When my sister and I decided we wanted a SPEEDO Pool Party for grins and giggles, Michael got on the phone and invited his friends, and then told them “there’s one condition... you gotta wear a SPEEDO.” It was hilarious. At Andi & Michael’s wedding reception, it felt stale at the country club, so he got on the mic and announced, “This is lame. The real party is at my house!” And you can believe that’s where the real fun happened. He was like the Dos Equis beer guy, and he did it all... snowmobiling through Canadian back trails, going on R & R cruises given by NOLA to benefit the Native Americans, being that guy on the plane where they’re dumping fuel so they could land... Never a dull moment. Michael was an old-fashioned guy, and days before his passing, he was shoveling a woman out of a snowbank who found herself plowed in at a convenience store by some foolish plow guy who couldn’t be bothered to dig her out. My sister loved to watch him play hero. He lived to help others, and have a good laugh. He was the most authentic human being one could ever meet, and the most popular person I have ever personally met. Handsome, but without vanity. Days before he passed, he had just sent my sister a Lilly plant with a beautiful note. He loved her immensely and never hesitated to let everyone know. He will be missed beyond compare, by so many . He was what we call “A REAL MAN,” far beyond genetics. I will never understand why he had to go now, but Heaven scored.

We were all blessed to know him
