Hi Everyone,
I’ve decided to create this page for our dear friend, Michele Savard. Many of you are familiar with her story:
Six years ago Michele was rushed to Parkland Medical Center and then med-flighted to Boston Medical Center where it was discovered she was in the midst of a brain hemorrhage from an AVM (ArterioVenous Malformation). Michele was likely born with this rare condition that can occur anywhere in the body, but is especially dangerous when located in the brain.
I am incredibly thankful Michele survived this ordeal and persevered in the years following. Not only that, but despite hardship she continues to make others a priority. Last year, for example, she raised $15,000 for the Brain Aneurysm Foundation through her “Aneurysm/AVM Awareness Train” event.
In addition to working on physical recovery, Michele has had to deal with many financial setbacks - including significant medical expenses and loss of work following her hospitalization. Then, most recently, Michele’s job at JPMorgan Chase came to an end with the Company’s decision to close the Salem office. With no severance package her home (and health insurance coverage) are now at risk.
I decided to launch this fundraising effort in the hopes that we can reduce the financial stress our friend Michele is now under.
Thank you in advance for love, support and generosity.
