Mickey's Transplant Medication
Donation protected
My name is Mickey Freeman, a single father of two college age sons. I reside in Jacksonville Beach, Florida. I have committed my life to serving my fellow man in the name of Jesus Christ. Since the time of my diagnosis (below) I have experienced many personal losses. In reality it was time to let those things go and turn to God and his path for me.
I got the news from my doctor in 2005, that I had Hepatitis C and it was damaging my liver. I was referred to a local physicians group who managed my condition for the next several years. That year was my first mission trip to Costa Rica.
In 2012 my liver began to deteriorate. I was
hospitalized three times before a new doctor recommended two things. Get a TPPS procedure to lessen the load on my liver and check in to Mayo Clinic. I had been on 12-15 trips to C.R. and Jamaica (see photo).
Mayo has been an incredible blessing with great support of the liver transplant team. A new medication protocol and life changing diet program increased my overall health. My ability to work full time has been interrupted, and I am currently on Disability.
My current condition is being evaluated for acceptance on the transplant list. I am currently recovering from neurosurgery on my lower back. While leading a group from my church, an accident occurred, and I was injured. I had been in the middle of a three month mission committment in Costa Rica at the time.
Prayerfully consider a donation to this fund. It will help offset the cost of my medications, pre- and post transplant, which are not covered by insurance.
Blessings to you and yours, Mickey Freeman
