Mike Lilly Medical Fund for Cancer

Michael Lilly is 48 years young; he had high grade Synovial Sarcoma (soft tissue cancer) in his left knee when he was in High School. He had surgery, then was treated with intense high doses of chemotherapy and radiation treatments to increase his survival rate and was able to save his leg and life.  In 2016, Mike started having severe pain in his leg again, much different than before, and found out that the radiation treatment from years ago caused his bone to deteriorate. In December 2016, he had surgery to stabilize the leg by implanting two plates and multiple screws to prevent further breakdown.  From that surgery a biopsy revealed that he has Fibro Sarcoma (bone cancer), caused by the radiation from the initial cancer 30 years ago. It is an aggressive cancer that had spread throughout half of his tibia.  In order to save his life, he had to have his leg amputated.  The surgery was January 20, 2017 in Miami, during which they have taken additional biopsies to determine the grade of the cancer and what chemotherapy is recommended.  The results are expected in February.

He has beaten cancer once and is determined to do it again.

Mike has a loving wife and two beautiful daughters (three and five years of age). Mike has expressed many times how truly blessed he is to have a wonderful family and so many great friends. His medical bills, prostheses and future treatments are going to be extremely costly.
