Miracle Max's Medical Fund

Max was born with HypoPlastic Left Heart Syndrome. Essentially, the left side of his heart never developed. As an infant/toddler, Max underwent 3 open heart surgeries to make his heart work as a full heart. Max has had 13 healthy years with his surgically corrected heart. Max is nearly 16 now and has had some known (yet fairly rare) complications with his surgically repaired heart. Max was hospitalized on the cardiac floor at Children's Hospital Los Angeles on Sunday, July 19th. Numerous tests have been done with plenty more on the agenda in order to make an accurate diagnosis for the best possible treatment. Max has been a trooper and we are confident this week's hospital stay will provide both him and I some much awaited answers on his future cardiac health and treatments. Although we are grateful to be in the most premiere hospital for his care, the cutting edge tests and treatments come with a price. I am blessed to have a wonderful job that helps to cover the total bill via medical insurance; but I know through experience that even paying a percentage of a week-long hospital stay at Children's Hospital Los Angeles will add up quickly and it will reach a point where I simply cannot handle it alone. I am asking for your generosity to help me come out of this not swimming in medical debt so I can focus on what is important: Max's health. We are both overwhelmed with the moral support we have already received from all our friends, family, co-workers, hospital staff, and even strangers. We thank you for all of your help and support getting through this--we could not handle this without you!
