Moreland Baton Rouge Flood Relief
Donation protected
UPDATE 9/12/2016
From Alissa:
Howdy everyone!
I want to extend a HUGE thank you to everyone who donated.
Our campaign has officially ended and we were able to put together 50 care bags, buy groceries, a few packs of underwear & socks, buy five large fans, deliver hammers, screwdrivers, gloves, utility knives & trash bags.
My mom, Allison, and my grandma, Marcelle Warren, made the drive to Baton Rouge, Louisiana to deliver all the supplies and to visit our family members.
From Allison:
Through a friend, I was able to correspond directly with an awesome lady in the “Cajun Army”, Robelynn Abadie. She is the one that informed me of the need for the care bags. Alissa and I put them together, then brought them to Robelynn for distribution.
Along with everything Alissa mentioned above, I have also honored the request from several of you that asked that your donation to go directly to my brother, Jack Warren Jr. and his wife Stacey.
It is still a pretty desperate situation over there and still a long road ahead for many.
Your contribution has made a huge difference in many lives. I can’t Thank You enough.
The 50 Care Bags included:
Hydrogen Peroxide
Hair Brush
Hair Comb
Band-Aids
Tylenol
Cotton Balls
Q-tips
Howdy everyone. Alissa here.
As many of you know, I have a personal connection to Baton Rouge, Louisiana. I have many family members who grew up there, went to LSU, and many of my family and friends currently live in BR. So the recents floods have been very difficult to watch not only because of the destruction of the the city we love, but also to hear the news from several of my family and friends of the total lost of their homes.
So the Moreland Family wants to help.
We are asking for your donations to purchase as many supplies as possible to deliver directly to BR. Our first trip will be this weekend (Saturday, August 20) , and we will focus on delivering supplies to two places:
The Healing Place Church
Healing Place Church Disaster Relief Information
Celtic Media Centre in partnership with the Red Cross Celtic Studios transformed into huge shelter in Baton Rouge
