Mr. Blotto Loves Full Metal Mike!

My name is Nina, I lost my dad to suicide January 27, 2010, leaving behind me and my three brothers.  It was a horrible thing to have happen and I have learned a lot about suicide and depression since then. I have had a  lot of support from my family and programs like Tommy's Kids and Camp Erin.  I have decided to participate in the Out of the Darkness Overnight Walk as a way to honor my dad, Mike.  I am walking for all the kids who have lost a parent to suicide and I am trying to let people know there is nothing to be ashamed or embarassed by about suicide.  The Out of Darkness Experience is a 16-18 mile walk over the course of one night.  Net proceeds benefit the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention, funding research, advocacy, survivor support, education, and awareness programs.

My dad lived life to it's fullest and that is how he earned the nickname Full Metal Mike.  He was lucky enough to count Mike Bolger, from Mr. Blotto,  as one of his dearest friends. 

I have never had to raise this much money before!! I am a little nervous to say the least! Mr. Bolger says that the fans of Mr. Blotto are the best people and that they would want to help me out!! I can't tell you how much I appreciate you coming to the site and reading my story.
