I'm not the type to ask for help. I'm usually the one offering it but this past weekend took a drastic turn.

I was walking Vinnie (the SMUG CHUG) and his brother Rocco (the feisty CHIHUAHUA) on their routine walk when I noticed that Vinnie was having trouble with his front paws. At first I didn't think nothing of it and thought he ate something that didn't agree with him ...as he likes to eat grass. But as soon as we got home, his rear paws also gave out and he collapsed.
I was figuring out if he ate something poisonous... I also thought that it might be his collar/leash as I had readjusted it... thinking that his circulation was cut off. I lifted him up to massage him to restore the blood flow but he was like a rag doll.... literally "dead weight" & he couldn't move any of his paws...
Vinnie was lethargic & his head was flopping to the side. I had to support it from tilting. TOTAL shocker... It's something a pet owner does not want to experience.... trust me....
I figured blood flow would return later on, but I was researching online and uncovered several factors that may have caused it. I also discovered that the longer I waited the more severe the situation will be. I took him to the vet and got blood work, X-rays, an MRI (the works)... There was a problem with his neck/spinal cord (cervical hyperpathia | C4-5 Discs) which caused his paralysis... "Herniated Disc"
BAD THOUGHTS APPEARED IN MY HEAD...

There were several options but of course I had to give my buddy a fighting chance. All in all, the surgery went well... 90% chance of recovery as it was caught early in the game...

Support Fund Vinnie's Spine Surgery (Medications, Rehabilitation...)
I know folks these days are tight with $ but any little bit helps. We're asking for literally just half the costs (Exams, Surgery, Medication, Rehabilitation, etc.) as this guy deserves a fighting chance. His spirit and drive brings a smile to everyone he greets (Dogs, Cats, Squirrels, Ducks, Birds... and People...). And sometimes himself as he rolls around in the grass and runs after seagulls on the Jersey Shore Beach.
If donations are enough to cover our bills, Vinnie agrees to donate the excess to another GO FUND ME dog/cat/other who may need the fund$.
It is sooooo much appreciated..!! I will upload/post pics & videos of his rehabilitation & calisthenic workouts either here, FB and/or on YOUTUBE after we figger out how to do it (actually the calisthenic workouts are for me).
Thanks for now, and send comments/feedback as I will read them to Vinnie. He is literally next to me dreaming of something... prolly chasing a squirrel...

Thanks!
