Stop Wildfires In 90 Seconds Or Less

Hi!
I'm Graeme Wiltrout, and I've been leading a team that's developing a new method to fight wildfires.
Growing up here in Oregon, I've spent my entire life dreading the summers.
Every year fires grow out of control and devastate our country.
Ecosystems are destroyed, watersheds are devastated, people's homes and livelihoods are burned, and people die.
So we fight the fires.
But our current response just isn't enough.
That's why I created the National Early Response Firefighting System or NERFS for short.
Our strategy is to modify and automate existing military technology in a manner that will allow us to deliver a cloud of biodegradable liquid fire retardant onto flames within 90sec of them being spotted.
The system will be based off of the 120mm mortar platform.
These will be built into automated stations that we will position in high-risk environments.
Instead of launching an explosive, we will launch our custom-made, reusable, guided mortar rounds.
When triggered, these rounds will deploy a cloud of biodegradable liquid fire retardant that chemically neutralizes burning fuel.
By including GPS-RTK, we can guide the mortar with accuracy down to the centimeter.
This will allow us to disperse the fire retardant above the flames on the ground or up high in a tree.
I have spoken with smoke jumpers, hotshots, fire chiefs, dispatchers, and government administrators about this project, and all of them have met me with enthusiasm.
Unfortunately, creating a system like this is really expensive, which is where you can help!
If everyone who sees this donates a couple of bucks, we'll be able to reach our goal and begin the next stage of prototyping.
So please donate!
