Support the World Premiere of 'Naiku' in Japan

The team behind Naiku is filled with excitement as we reach out to you with a heartfelt request for support. We have been given a remarkable opportunity to represent Lithuania at the prestigious Yubari Fantastic Film Festival in Japan, where we aim to showcase the world premiere of our film. Naiku is an independent, cutting-edge short film that explores the journey of Adomas, who encounters a group of mischiefs tearing through the streets in a car. Drawn into a violent tournament with an unusual trophy at stake, Adomas finds his morals shifting.

Our dedicated team of young, aspiring professionals from Lithuania, led by director Pijus Mačiulskis and producer Lukrecija Neverovskaja, has worked tirelessly to bring Naiku to life. We are fortunate to have the talented actress Urtė Lučiūnaitė on board, who plays a significant role in the film and shares our excitement for the Yubari Fantastic Film Festival. The three of us are hoping to represent our team and Lithuania in this esteemed festival.

The Yubari Fantastic Film Festival, renowned for its illustrious history since 1990, holds a distinguished position as one of Japan's most prestigious cult film festivals. Notably, the festival has a keen eye for discovering emerging film talents. Throughout its history, the festival has honored films that have since gained recognition and hosted esteemed cinema figures such as Gaspar Noé, The Coen Brothers, Quentin Tarantino, Angelina Jolie, and many others.

We are fortunate to have a Japanese distributor, Kanako Fujita, on board who shares our passion for Naiku and believes in its potential. Together we aim to establish and strengthen ties between the Lithuanian and Japanese film industries. The Yubari Fantastic Film Festival serves as the perfect platform for this cultural exchange and collaboration.
Attending the Yubari Fantastic Film Festival will also present invaluable opportunities for networking with industry professionals, distributors, and producers from Japan and neighboring countries. Our ambition is to establish meaningful connections, explore potential collaborations, and nurture future co-production projects between Lithuania and the vibrant East Asian film industry.

However, participating in this prestigious festival incurs significant expenses. We are a group of up-and-coming filmmakers from Lithuania still striving to create our place in the industry. Hence, we humbly seek your generosity and support to cover the costs associated with flights, travel, accommodations, festival fees, and promotional materials. By helping us reach our fundraising goal, you will play a crucial role in promoting Lithuanian cinema on an international stage and fostering the growth and exposure of our film industry.

Your contribution, regardless of its size, will make a significant difference in enabling us to cover the necessary expenses and realize our presence at the Yubari Fantastic Film Festival. We kindly request your support and invite you to become a part of our journey to Japan. Your generosity will have a lasting impact and contribute to the growth and recognition of our young film industry.

Thank you for considering our request, and we eagerly anticipate sharing our experiences and the success of Naiku with you!
