Neurodiuniverse - We are who we are

We're on a mission to support families, adults and children, with neurodiverse conditions and I need your help.
Let me introduce myself
My name is Lorraine Jukes. I’m a neurodiverse adult, working in education, living in a neurodiverse family, and have been on one hell of a journey. A journey that I want to share with everyone.
Let’s talk about facts. Being neurodiverse in such a fast paced and demanding society can be tough. I know first-hand. It leaves many feelings completely alone, broken, overwhelmed, vulnerable, and unsupported. Like you’re trapped in a cage. We are a nation that sends the message “it's ok not to be ok”. Well, I want to reinforce that with “We are who we are”. Living with neurodiverse conditions doesn't need to be hard, it doesn’t need to limit people. It’s all about early intervention, support giving to the individual, families and increasing understanding of everyone else around them. It’s time for change - and now's the time to do it.
It’s an exciting opportunity, which through sponsors, donations and merchandise sales will provide a charitable service. With our mascot bear being shared and sold to friends, families, schools, businesses and communities, to share our important message.

Our vision
As we continue to grow, we will go on to support individuals' diagnosis, support groups, and events to come together. Supporting awareness and understanding on neurodiverse conditions in schools and workplaces. A podcast interviewing neurodiverse professionals, adults, families and children, the very voices that are impacted daily. The opportunity to give families and individuals opportunities to access inclusive settings, respite care, sensory breaks, sensory equipment, and resources and links to professionals to support their own and/or families’ needs.
Why will this work?
Waiting lists are through the roof and people are waiting up to 4 years to be heard or supported. Support systems in place are over run and unable to meet the demand they are faced with. This is impacting education systems, children’s development, adult and children's mental health, adults feeling inadequate, parents exhausted, adults not being utilised to their full potential in workplaces, unemployment, the list continues.
Many individuals: children, adults, and families, need support or just a safe space to reflect and share their journey. Creating a community where people, whatever your age, story, need, gender, can remove their masks and be just themselves.
I know our own story can impact people, it already is and has. But I want to impact more, and I need your help to get us there.
Help me our mission!
Thank you for taking the time to read it.
