New Colquitt County Foodbank Facility
Tax deductible
Dear Beloved Community,
With profound gratitude for your steadfast support, we must share a crucial update on our journey to replace our existing food bank. Back in March 2022, we were fortunate to receive a grant to construction a new facility. However, despite the awarded grant, it has become evident that the grant falls short by a considerable margin. We find ourselves facing a shortfall of $775,000 to complete the replacement of our existing food bank.
Our current food bank has been a cornerstone of our community, providing essential nourishment and support to those in need for over forty years. However, as our community has grown and evolved, so too have the challenges we face. The facilities are no longer adequate to meet the increasing demand for our services, and essential upgrades are needed to ensure we can continue to serve our community effectively.
Despite our best efforts to stretch every dollar and explore alternative avenues of funding, the costs of construction, equipment, and supplies have far exceeded our initial projections. This shortfall presents a daunting obstacle that threatens to halt our progress and leave many in our community without the support they rely on.
The need to replace our existing food bank remains as urgent as ever, especially with the ongoing challenges our neighbors face in the wake of economic uncertainty and food insecurity. Every day, individuals and families in our community go to bed hungry, unsure of where their next meal will come from. It's a stark reality that compels us to redouble our efforts and appeal to your boundless generosity.
Your continued support is the lifeline that will bridge the gap and ensure that no one in our community goes hungry. Together, we can overcome this challenge and turn our vision into reality. Your contributions will enable us to complete the necessary renovations, stock our shelves with nutritious food, and establish programs that offer vital support to those in need.
We understand that these are trying times for many, but we firmly believe that together, we can make a difference. Whether it's through a financial donation, volunteering your time, or simply spreading the word, your support is instrumental in our mission to build hope and nourish our community.
We are immensely grateful for each and every one of you who has stood by us on this journey. Your compassion and solidarity inspire us to persevere, even in the face of adversity. With your help, we will surmount this challenge and create a brighter, more nourished future for all.
Thank you for your unwavering support and belief in our cause.
