New Roof for Seniors and Little Leaguers
Tax deductible
Emergency Roof Replacement for College Point Little League Building
College Point Little League, a non-profit Little LeagueBaseball affiliate, serves the youth of College Point, Flushing and Whitestone. CPLL is reaching out to all members of the community to help us fund the cost of replacing the roof of our historic building.
The roof of our building, located at 13-28 123rd Street in College Point, is in dire shape and must be replaced as soon as possible. We have water invasion and worry that delaying this project any longer will lead to other major repairs. The expected work includes removal and replacement of the shingle roof, repairs to the wood underneath the roof, and leak proofing the Yankee gutters around the building. The lowest estimate we received for the replacement of the roof and related expenses was for $23,100, an amount that CPLL cannot afford.
Our building was built in 1906 for the Firemen’s Benevolent Association as a meeting place for local volunteer firemen and other community groups. It is listed in the National and New York State’s Register of Historic Places, and continues to be a meeting place for the community. The Angelo Petromelis Senior Center meets in the building, providing our seniors a safe and friendly environment to participate in activities that enhance their ability to remain in their homes and be active and involved in their communities.
All donations, large and small, can make a big difference to this project. This fundraiser is a GoFundMe "certified charity fundraiser," which means that your donation is tax deductible. If you prefer to send your donation by mail, please send checks payable to “College Point Little League” to:
