New Scout HQ - Toilets and Disabled Shower
After 10 years of fundraising, negotiations, and planning, last week one of our youngest Beavers handed over the keys to the old hut to Daniel the Project Manager for Bentley Contracts who are the main contractor for the new building.
The old hut has served well, it was an old army hut brought up from Kent 64 years ago in 1957 and erected by local volunteers.
The total project budget is £350,000 and so far, £250,000 has been raised enabling the imminent construction of the watertight shell of the building.
We have not hit our financial target yet and require more funds for the second stage, toilets, kitchen, electrics, etc.
Please help us to get back into our new HQ by donating towards the Toilets and Disabled Showers.
We look forward to sharing more of our updates with you over the coming weeks.
