Hello Friends and Family!
I'm raising funds for a very special cause. On January 10, 2014, I was nominated to represent my elementary school at the National Youth Leadership Forum (NYLF): Pathways to Discovery on Engineering, Medicine & CSI, an Envision Program that will be held in Washington, DC from July 28 to August 1.
Here is the description of the program I have chosen: "The engineers of tomorrow will undertake a hands-on design challenge in Engineering: Buildings, Bridges & Blueprints as they delve into the world of structures, when they are commissioned by a New York City investor to submit a floor plan and model for a new museum to be built in the city. The commission begins with an exploration of the fundamentals of structure, studying well-known buildings and monuments. Using the principles of design and engineering, students will test their structures as well as construct mobiles, columns, domes and bridges." Participants will develop leadership skills in teambuilding, presentation skills, communication, problem solving, and goal setting through a leadership curriculum as well.
There are two ways you can help:
1. Donate through the website to help cover the cost of the program.
2. Share my fundraiser with your friends + family by posting it to Facebook + Twitter or by sharing my link through email.
Your show of support will make all the difference... Thank you!
