Dear Friends & Family,
I often post on social media positive things, about health, fitness, striving to be positive, etc..Its been rare in the past year that I have posted anything about the issues or strugles that I am having. 2015 has been a life changing year for me, one in which so many good things happened..I got to travel to New York after many years of dreaming of that trip, I committed myself to a healthier lifestyle & started working out more, eating healthier & have completely transformed my body & mind, I got an amazing job, one that I am so proud of & love & I participated in events such as the Avon walk which were truly inspiring & life changing. Everything has been great, I am truly happy & feel blessed but one thing I have not shared is that for over a year now I have been struggling with a painful condition called Endometriosis. I was diagnosed with it almost two years ago but with time the pain & effects associated to it have worsened. Yesterday I went to see a specialist & had an Ultrasound...I was not prepared to see what I saw & have been in shock, upset & in tears since. I have 5 cysts on my Uterus, as well as several small blood clots through out my Uterus & was told I need to have surgery as soon as possible. My condition is not life threatening but my cysts are growing & I need to be tested for cancer, among other things. I am scared, worried & for the first time in a very long time I feel very vulnerable & helpless. I know that things could be worse, know many women have gone thru similar things but for me- this is really terrifying. My surgery will cost me almost $2,000 out of pocket & I cannot even schedule it until this cost has been paid. I never ask for help, I take pride in the fact that i consider myself a good friend & person, always willing to help others & be there for them but for once- I am swallowing my pride & asking for help. I cannot cover this cost any time soon given the urgency of this surgery. I am asking if you can help in any way, donate anything at all, I would be so thankful your your love & support. Dont worry, I am strong & will continue being so but I truly need help and your thoughts/prayers while I deal with this. To those of you who already know & have been there for me so far I can't thank you enough.
