Friend. Daughter. Sister. Cousin. Neighbor.
Nicole is also a fighter. And right now she is having to fight hard. Nicole has cancer in her liver. Fortunately, it is currently contained. A liver transplant could literally save her life. However, livers are hard to come by. So while she waits she takes various medications, some 6 times a day, in order to stay alive. These medications cost upwards of $3,000/month. But medicine can only do so much, and Nicole finds herself frequently in the hospital where she has been put on a ventilator so many times it is damaging her voice. Recently she learned that one of her kidneys is failing and that she is most likely facing dialysis. Hospital and prescription bills continue to mount as she awaits a liver that is a match for her. And insurance does not cover much.
The time has come to ask for help. Not an easy thing to do. But necessary. We are hoping to raise at least $20,000 to cover three months of medical and prescription costs. Every ammount helps. Each person who donates will receive a specially-designed t-shirt in honor of Nicole's fight.
