GEToxic PCBs all over. Housatonic River
Tax deductible
General Electric/ Monsanto have polluted our river, land and air with toxic PCBs. People, dogs, and cats have been dying. EPA will allow GE to leave huge amounts of the toxic chemicals in the river. Just like EPA did on the failed Hudson River PCB clean- up. Our politicians assured Berkshire County that the PCBs would be sent to an out of state facility. Behind everyone’s backs EPA, GE, and the politicians have changed the plan and will allow GE to dump their toxins in Lee and Lenoxdale, MA. saving GE $250,000,000! The toxic dump will be a thousand feet from the river, 1000 feet in elevation, and 1.1 mile from our town reservoir. Hundreds of trucks will be transporting PCBs through our neighborhoods for 13 years. A renown geologist calls it a textbook example of where not to built any kind of dump.
Please help us fight for our children, animals, our towns, and the Housatonic River and floodplains.
