Noah's Cancer & Treatment

My name is Shirley, Noah is my 12 year old Grandson.

On February 22nd he was diagnosed with a brain tumor after multiple trips over 3 weeks to the emergency room and Dr. for migraines, inability to eat and vomiting... yet nothing was diagnosed. Mom and Dad needed answers and took him to the emergency room at Randall's Children Hospital, outside the insurance network and without referral. That hospital made it a priority to get him in for an MRI which showed the tumor and immediately transported him to Dornbeckers Children's Hospital. February 23rd he was in surgery to remove the tumor. The surgeon was able to remove about 98%, the remainder is connected to the nerve and brain stem. Noah's parents are at his side day and night.

Dad drives the traffic and weather 2 - 3 times a day between Washington and Oregon to care for Noah's brother and sister. He has been off work and is going to be heading back just to keep things going but would prefer to be with his son.

It's still in the first week after discovery but he will be at the hospital for sometime, he is not out of the woods yet. Funds are getting low due to travel and fast food while waiting. Not sure yet if there will be added cost for medical.
