Noda Fundraiser for ALS research on Sisters behalf

Amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS) is commonly known as "Lou Gehrig's disease," named after the famous New York Yankees baseball player who was forced to retire after developing the disease in 1939.
ALS is a progressive disease that destroys nerve cells in the brain and spinal cord which control the muscles throughout the body. When these nerve cells (also called motor neurons) die, the brain can no longer send impulses (messages) to the muscle fibers that normally result in muscle movement. The disease most commonly afflicts people between the ages of 40 and 70. As many as 30,000 Americans have the disease at any given time. The cause is unknown.
My sister was diagnosed with ALS in 2022 by the Mayo Clinic in Jacksonville, Florida. A shocking, tragic and heartbreaking diagnosis for anyone. This one hit close to home for us and our families. My sister has a husband, three adult children and five grandchildren. She has maintained a positive outlook rooted in her faith, the love of her family and an outpouring of support from those who know her!
I am raising money to benefit the ALS Association serving Florida where my sister lives. Any donation will help make an impact. While there is no known cure currently, there are a number of promising treatments in or near clinical trials to extend quality and duration of life. My sister is currently participating in a Research Study and we remain hopeful…
Thank you in advance for your contribution to this cause that means so much to me. Your donations go directly to the ALS Association Serving Florida.
