Nourish to Flourish

Nomzamo is a high school based in a town ship named Nemato in South Africa near Port Alfred. They believe every learner deserves a chance and therefore accept anyone who is in need of education. Nomzamo, the oldest school within the community, welcomes children from every age, background and financial status. Around the school, there is an atmosphere of hope, where teachers, students and staff are working towards a brighter future. The community in and around the school is strong which adds much potential to these teens and their chances in life.

So what does this school need? Unfortunately, they struggle with a lack of resources. Can you imagine a regular classroom filled with 50 students? This is what they face on a daily basis. By renovating the tuck shop located within the school, the idea is to establish a positive cash flow which will help them invest in better facilities in the future.

“Give them a fish, they eat for a day. Learn them how to fish and they eat for a lifetime”.

The project team of the minor social entrepreneurship of Stenden created a renovating plan, business plan and execution plan to make sure the tuck shop will be stable and generates a consistent income for the school. However, to start this process there is a capital of € 1312,- needed.

THIS IS WHERE YOU COME IN! With your contribution, the school can generate a stable income and overcome the challenges they face. All money goes directly towards the renovation of the tuck shop.

Together we can make sure that all students can Nourish to Flourish.
