Help Mom Rebuild Her Life After Devastating House Fire

Today, our family suffered unimaginable loss. Our mother, Nyangu Chipembere, lost her home to the Eaton Canyon fire and left with only the clothes on her back. While we are all extremely grateful she was able to escape with her life, we are now faced with the pain and devastation of what has happened.

Her place of peace and refuge—our entire family’s place of peace and refuge—and the home we grew up in, along with all our family history, belongings, and keepsakes, is gone. My sister and I are reaching out to our community and asking for love and support as we help our mother rebuild her life. She is the definition of selfless, and through her work for L.A. County, she has dedicated her life to uplifting others. Please help us uplift her after this tragedy.

This fundraiser will help her cover things that will not be covered by insurance or FEMA.
