Okeechobee Waterway Crossing for Clean Water
Donation protected
Three competitive South Florida stand-up paddlers are attempting to paddle over 150 miles along the Okeechobee waterway from Stuart to Fort Myers to raise awareness for South Florida’s water quality crisis. We are teaming up with Captains For Clean Water to help aid the fight to restore and protect our aquatic ecosystem. We will be paddling for 8-10 hours a day for four days, with assistance from a support vessel. We are asking for financial assistance to help cover the cost for our expenses. Every dollar after that will be donated to Captains For Clean Water, a nonprofit organization that has been fighting to stop Lake Okeechobee discharge into our waterways.
