Onkar's Fundraiser - Fighting Cancer

It is with deep sadness that I announce the sudden and unexpected discovery of Stage 4 Cancer (sarcoma) to our dear friend and sister Mrs. Nirmal Kumari in March this year. The cancer was found after a work accident, where Nirmal hurt her back, and had a CT scan to see if everything was okay. Since then, she has undergone different medical examinations and reviews by specialists in order to identify the state of the cancer and treatment options. This sudden finding and unexpected news have left all her family and friends in total despair. It’s an event that this young couple is not able to come to terms with. Recently, she has started Chemotherapy to contain this very aggressive type of cancer.

It was not too long ago (July 2022) that she came to Australia to study Nursing and work in healthcare. Nirmal was born and brought up at Indore, Madhya Pradesh, India as beloved daughter of Mr & Mrs Charnjit & Neelam Lal. Just before coming to Australia last July, she got married to Inderjeet Singh and together they dreamt of starting a blessed and comfortable life in Australia. Soon after arriving in Australia, she started working as a waitress in the restaurant to learn and adapt Australian way of life. The young couple moved hand in hand together in the new land and appreciated life into fullness, while keeping studies as a priority to secure the future. But this unexpected news about Nirmal's state of health has put enormous pressure on this young couple, who dreamt of settling in Australia and starting a family.

I don't know what the future may hold for this young couple, but as a community we can make a difference by contributing as little as dollar to help and assist them in fighting this frightening battle with the cancer.

I humbly request you all to show our support to them in this difficult time. A fund is created in order to collect money to help cover medical expenses that are not covered by their insurance. Every dollar will go directly to the couple, helping them cover any unexpected medical costs. Our help will allow them to stay close to each other in these difficult times.
