First and foremost, I would like to express my heartfelt gratitude to all those who have supported us on our life altering journey.
I am Lisa Colston, founder of “Operation ReFresh Inc” a non profit organization formed after our son Vince “Fresh The Dj” Colston was tragically injured after being hit by a car on his dirt bike, September 16, 2020. I never lost faith, refusing to leave his side 11 months he lay in the hospitals fighting for life. As I provided therapy daily physical and mental, I realized my life’s calling. Fresh suffered a Traumatic Brain Injury (TBI), brain bleeding and swelling, organ failure and given 20% chance of survival. Consistently pleading with insurance companies for therapy sessions I vowed to save my son, restore his life and assist anyone in similar situations, by providing a facility at little or no cost to survivors. To prove consistency is key, and faith is mandatory. We were told by Doctors Fresh may never see, walk or talk, I understand my assignment and the calling placed on my life to help others alike
As a 501(c)(3) Certified Charity whose mission is to enhance the quality of life for anyone impacted by life altering injury, by providing support, advocacy, and information. We vow to inspire individuals into action across the world, serving in practical but consistent ways to bring forth awareness, personal development and social inclusion.
Accepting the reality of what we have endured has been a painful process. My job, my means to supporting my family vanished in an instant. In this time of need, I humbly ask for support. Your support would be invaluable in helping build a facility not only for Fresh, but for anyone in need, as we all understand, no one is exempt from tragedy, but you are not alone.
Our journey has not been without obstacles. We have faced numerous challenges, but we have persevered. I’ve used personal funds for my sons therapy and to assist others.
The funds raised through this GoFundMe campaign will be dedicated to several key aspects of our process:
1. Secure a location
2. Renovation and Set up
3. Procuring Equipment and Supplies
4. Marketing and Branding
5. Staffing and Training
