Our New North Epping Men’s Shed
Donation protected
The North Epping Men’s Shed (NEMS) was established and incorporated in December 2018. It is centred on the suburb of North Epping (under Hornsby council) with links into the surrounding council areas of Ryde and Parramatta. The principal objective of NEMS is to address the problems of social isolation within the community, particularly but not exclusively amongst men. This will be achieved by establishing and operating a woodworking, metalworking and craft workshop.
The NEMS will be established on a site adjacent to the North Epping Bowls Club, previously occupied by a scout hall.
NEMS has received funding from Bendigo Bank, Rotary Club of Chatswood Sunrise, the NSW State Government and the Australian Federal Government. We are in the process of submitting a Development Application to Hornsby Council for approval to construct a new building on the old scout hall site.
We need your help to raise an additional $150,000 to complete the planning process, construct the NEMS building and purchase equipment for the shed.
