Oztag World Cup 2023 in Ireland

Hey, my name is Savannha Roberts. I am a proud Aboriginal woman for the tribes of Dunghutti, Bundjalung and Barkindji. I have been given a deadly opportunity to represent my Family, Culture, People and Country in the Australian Indigenous Women’s Opens Oztag at the World Cup in Ireland in July 2023.

Australian Indigenous Oztag is a not-for-profit corporation providing Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people the opportunity to play Oztag at an International level. Apart from the enjoyment of participating, our aim is to inspire and promote healthy active lifestyles, cultural identity, awareness and pride, leadership, self-esteem, education and teamwork. As part of our ongoing campaign to promote Indigenous participation in sport, we have accepted the challenge to compete in the 2023 World cup the 2023 Oztag World Cup at the University of Limerick in Ireland from Monday 31st July to Sunday 6th August 2023.

I have been selected to play in the Women's Opens team to compete at the 2023 Oztag World Cup. The player’s levy for the tournament is $5500 each, includes: player registration, playing gear, flights, accommodation, transfers and travel insurance.
