Help Build the: Pages of Hope - Community Library
Donation protected
Hello to all our generous family and friends,
The Dr. Lee Educational Foundation is back with new and exciting updates. We thank you for your past support and ask that you help us again to reach our goals.
The Foundation had been awarded a plot of land in the Bare' Village, of the Numan Local Government District, Adamawa State, Nigeria. Here we will be focusing on building a library for the 5 school districts and the entire community to use and work has begun in clearing the land.

Our sister, Dr. Lydia (aka Dr Lee), is as always, our boots on the ground with assistance from student council members and board members, Hyela, Ajijir, Professor Oliver, Dr Richard, and Ndupikuli. They continue to deliver backpacks and school supplies to these children who are eager to learn.

Over the next 6 months, we will be working towards the completion of phases I & II of the Library project.
Phase I & II of the Pages of Hope Library will be the building of a borehole and library building to include:
- Gate/Water house with small solar panels for the borehole water pump to keep the tank filled
- Library to include: (2) open rooms, one of which will be used as the library book storage and other for a meeting reading space; (2) restrooms; and (1) office space.
- Burglar-proofing doors and windows
- Lighting, fans, and a generator for consistent electricity
- Exterior Security Fencing of the property
These first two phases are anticipated to cost around 84.1 million Naira which equates to around $56,000 USD.

Once completed, we will continue to raise funds to build bookshelves, desks, pay for the shipment of books from the USA, and to cover a year's salary for a Librarian and Security Staff.
Hyela will be on site working with the contractors directly to obtain updates and oversee the timely completion of the project. Our main limitation at this time is simply the funding.
As many of you know, in addition to this online fundraiser, we are also hosting garage sales in Anthem, Arizona to assist in funding the project. Our garage is full of furniture, holiday decorations, kitchen and glassware, clothing, and more!!
You can also check out our previous endeavors on our Facebook, Instagram, TikTok (new) and DLEF website.
So Please help us reach our goals and we will update you every step of the way.
Thank you,
Michele Justin
