Pass the Bricks Raleigh-Durham (RDU)

Donation protected
Greetings,

My name is Dan Senko and I am raising funds to start up and support Pass the Bricks Raleigh-Durham.

Pass the Bricks, an international nonprofit organization, exists to give more children access to play in the Raleigh-Durham area. This means collecting used LEGO bricks and models, assembling LEGO designed or custom small sets, and distributing to kids in need in Raleigh-Durham.

Why LEGO? It promotes fine motor skills, creativity, problem solving, social skills, and dozens of other benefits for kids. There is a passionate LEGO community including me and my immediate family, and I wanted to combine that passion with a great cause of reusing LEGO bricks ... and a great result to provide loose LEGO or LEGO sets to other children that may not have ready access to LEGO.

While not everyone is able donate used bricks, monetary donations help pay for cleaning supplies, storage containers and bins, packaging supplies, printer ink, paper and labels, donation pickup transportation expenses, support for Pass the Brick sort/build events and possibly to purchase small quantities of specialized LEGO pieces to complete refurbished models / sets.

All work to support Pass the Bricks is on a volunteer basis and can be used for Service Hours.
