UPDATE: 4/29/23 - It is with a heavy heart that we have to update this page with the terribly sad news that our beloved Patrick Mack passed unexpectedly in the wee hours of the morning. He was surrounded by his loving family who are all now truly heartbroken. (We will update service information when available).

The last time we saw Patrick and Monica, his wife, was three weeks ago when Glendale dedicated April 3 as Patrick Mack Day for his service to our community. He was grinning ear to ear and for a moment he got to put aside his grief and feel your love. We can find some solace knowing he is with his daughter now, but those he left behind, especially his wife and kids, will forever be missing his joy and laughter. Thank you Glendale for showing him so much love this past month (he truly felt your embrace). We just never imagined your kindness would become part of Patrick's lasting legacy!

Patrick was the rock of his family and the glue that held them together after the loss of his daughter. He and his wife Monica have been fighting for justice for her ever since. They were also helping to raise Adayshia's children who have now also lost their father, grandfather, and primary breadwinner. So his loss is both emotionally and financially devasting.

So for the second time, we are asking Glendale and everyone we know to help show his family how much Patrick was loved by helping out financially in any way you can. Monica is still in shock but she welcomes our support. She would also love for us to forward any photos we may have of Patrick and his friends to help them celebrate his life. You can post them to the Facebook page we made in his honor and we will pass them along to Monica.

Once his family has had time to grieve, we hope to plan some sort of formal celebration in Glendale.

Please note that we are once again setting up two locations in Glendale where you can make an in-person donation or leave a sympathy card if you prefer. Donations/cards will be accepted at both Vitale's Deli and Glendale City Hall.

If you prefer to pay by check, please make it payable to MONICA MACK and drop it at one of the locations above.

Thank You!

ORIGINAL/BACKGROUND STORY ON PATRICK'S DAUGHTER ADYASHIA: Anyone who lives in Glendale knows and loves our wonderful friend and refuse hauler Mr. Patrick Mack. He is an icon in the area for being the friendliest worker in town and watching out for our community. As most of you know, Patrick took a leave of absence last week to have rotator cuff surgery (most likely from lifting way too many over-filled trash receptacles) and will be out till fall. So we have already been missing his friendly face and happy demeanor around our town.

Unfortunately, over the weekend his family suffered a tragedy that nobody should ever have to experience. He lost his baby girl Adayshia Jackson who was only 28 years old. Adayshia was killed during a domestic violence dispute leaving her family devastated. This is every parent's worst nightmare and our heart goes out to the entire Mack family.

UPDATE: Here is the funeral info if you would like to attend and show your support:

Many of us who have lived and worked in Glendale for years felt a strong need to help the Mack family and especially Patrick by providing some financial support for Adayshia's family and possibly helping with her funeral costs.

This is our chance to support a man that has brought us so much joy over the years. Let's show him how much he is loved in Glendale by wrapping our collective arms around him! (You can also leave a message for him with your donation).

Please note that we have also set up two locations in Glendale where you can make an in-person donation if you prefer. Donations will be accepted at both Vitale's Deli and Glendale City Hall. Any funds collected there will be added to the funds raised here.

Thank You!
