Hey everyone,
My Sister in law is in the end stages of kidney failure and has not been able to find a donor for a kidney while only having a year at best to live without one while on dialysis daily.
So on May 16th I started the procedure to become a living donor and the very 1st day that I went in for the routine blood work and exams to be cleared for donating I found out that what I
thought was a small hematoma from a minor atv accident was in fact a very highly suspicious nodule in my breast and I was sent over immediately for scans.
On May 24th a biopsy was done and then on May 31st my life was forever changed……
TRIPLE NEGATIVE INVASIVE DUCTAL CARCINOMA !
Today I started Chemo along with immunotherapy as well because my cancer is negative for all receptors and makes it very aggressive because my body doesn’t recognize that I have cancer and won’t fight it. It also makes it very highly to always come back again.
After the initial 16 weeks of chemo and immunotherapy I will then have radiation treatments and then surgery to remove the tumor. Followed by several years of immunotherapy and then chemo once a month for 5 more years .
I’m desperately trying to raise the funds to help pay to get into the Mayo Clinic in Jacksonville Florida because they are the closest facility (5hrs away) that I can get into that has the best technology and treatments available for my type of cancer.
I currently have insurance but they are constantly denying my treatments and prolonging my care while I’m fighting the system and filing appeals .
Even saying that Chemotherapy isn’t medically necessary for cancer and only covering it for several months !
5 denial letters to date for various tests I’ve needed as well.
The Mayo clinic is out of my network of coverage and it definitely will not pay for me to go, however since originally starting this Gofundme I have been able to purchase private insurance so I now have an out of pocket premium monthly as well as my copay’s which is 50% of each visit (making payments) they are high due to the preexisting cancer.
Please help me get the absolute best care possible and give me a chance to watch all of my children grow and to see them have families of their own. I’m a wife, a Momma Bear to 5 boys and the baby Sister to 6 siblings.
I have always been that person who helps anyone and everyone no matter what it is they need, who they are or even how late at night you may call.
Giving countless hours of my time with fundraisers for everyone I could and helping the homeless . I’ve even donated my camper to a 78 year old man that I found living in the back of an old abandoned truck.
I’m surely no saint but I definitely have a big ole heart so I’m hoping all of my love I’ve given out will be returned to me now.
