Please help Aleksandra to say goodbye to Martin

UPDATE:

Unfortunately we received the devastating news that Martin crossed the Rainbow Bridge way too soon.
We changed the funding to help Aleksandra pay for the funeral and all other costs she will have now Martin has past.

And people, literally, every euro counts.

Aleksandra simply doesn't have the fundings to give Martin the farewell he deserves.


Dear Ayreon family,

 

Only a few weeks ago, Martin Riet, a member of the Ayreon Facebook group and also the ‘Electric Castle Live’ WhatsApp group, was diagnosed with multiple brain tumours. Unfortunately, the tumors are untreatable and in less than a month Martin has gone from a happy 33-year-old man, looking forward to concerts and getting married, to not having the power to get out of bed.. Martin and his fiancée still want to marry – no matter what. Their situation now fully takes them to their limits and is absolutely unbearable for them, their family and their friends. No one knows how much time Martin has left, but as the Ayreon fans are like one big family, we decided to do everything we could to give Martin some joy and happiness. We have already organised an Ayreon cake for his birthday this Tuesday, 12th April and we are in contact with his fiancée Aleksandra. She keeps us up to date about Martin’s condition and also about their progress in planning their wedding. Wondering what else could be done, we decided that it would be great to set up a fundraiser to help them to pay the costs for their wedding and other expenses. So here we are, still shocked and without words – but asking you wonderful people for help. Please donate, so that his last wish – to marry his Aleksandra – can come true.
