Prescott Reavis Scholarship Fund &Funeral Expenses

Hi, my name is John Reavis, and I am Prescott's older brother. As anyone who knew Prescott can attest—whether you knew him well or had met him just once—my brother was a mission-driven man with a deep love of community and a drive to make the world a more just place. Since his passing on February 8, 2022, we have heard from so many people—peers, mentees, mentors, and friends—who say Prescott inspired them and changed their lives for the better. These calls, cards, and emails have been a fantastic comfort to Prescott's wife, Kai, and our families as we try to deal with his sudden passing.
We are starting this GoFundMe account to help with the expenses of funeral arrangements, a celebration of Prescott’s life, and to create a scholarship for young black architects in the name of a man who dedicated his life to the progress of others.
Many of Prescott’s peers have written posts on his Facebook page that detail his passion, drive and impact in the architectural world not just as a designer but as a child-friendly strategist, educator, spatial activist, collaborator, and mentor. In this article published about him on Archinect , we see the beauty in where his priorities lay. Rest in peace, brother.
