Who We Are
 
In commemoration of Thelma Priscilla Peters’ 80th birthday – the Peters family matriarch – we, as a family, decided to give back. As a result, The Priscilla James Foundation was founded, in 2015, to establish an organization in the United States and St. Vincent and the Grenadines.

The Priscilla James Foundation is an organization that aims to help disadvantaged students achieve academic excellence and community leadership in order to prepare them for the next level of educational achievement, and giving back to their community.  The foundation is dedicated to promoting empowerment of children, and to inspire immediate and lasting change in their lives.



What we do
Provide essential school supplies…
 
To attend to the educational needs of the children in St. Vincent and the Grenadines, the students are provided with backpacks containing supplies that are not easily afforded to them.
Items such as: pens, pencils, notebooks, loose leaf paper, rulers, textbooks, etc. are donated. These school supplies are gifted to ease a burden, and foster educational success.

The "Back to School Event" is an annual occurrence that has grown beyond expectation and has become a serious cause - one that is not only anticipated by the community, but a highlight. Over the years, the Peters family has distributed approximately 2000 backpacks and school supplies with contributions pooled together by family and faithful friends.



Our vision
 
·         Distribute 1000 backpacks yearly to children who are in  need

·         Assist 75 students with the purchase of text books

·         Assist 50 students with transportation costs


What it takes

·         Purchase of over 700 backpacks for 2017 distribution

·         Shipping, custom, and transportation fees
