Project Amazonas Medical Boat Expedition

Tax deductible

This summer, 16 medical students from FIU's Herbert Wertheim College of Medicine will be teaming up with Project Amazonas on two, week-long medical mission trips to the Peruvian Amazon on July 14-20 and July 23-August 3.

Project Amazonas is a non-political, non sectional NGO working to serve the people of the Amazon. Since 1994, the organization provides health service and education to remote communities using a river boat stocked with medical equipment, volunteers and partnership with Peruvian health institutions.

We will depart from Iquitos, Peru and travel along the Amazona river, docking at a new village each day. We will assist in managing clinics to provide healthcare to those in villages only accessible by boat.

We need your help! Your donations will help our team provide medical services at each village.

Project Amazonas is a United States based 501(c)(3) non-profit.  This is a Certified Charity Campaign and all donations received are tax-deductible.
