Quayside Marathon, in memory of Mary Thornton ❤️

On the 5th May, I will be running, well shuffling to be precise (!), 26.2miles along the merry banks of the Tyne as part of the inaugural Newcastle-Gateshead Marathon. I'm seeking to raise money in memory of my mother Mary Elizabeth Thornton in support of Alzheimer's Research UK. Mary, a wife, mother, granma, sister, aunt and dear friend to many, was a legend in her local community. Like too many people, her life was latterly affected by dementia.
