Help RAREHOUSE build!

Hi everyone we are RAREHOUSE, a 501c3 nonprofit located downtown Los Angeles, California. We’ve recently acquired a 10,800sqft warehouse/storefront and are building a contemporary multimedia workspace & community center. 1). Who We Are & What We’ve Done RAREHOUSE started in 2016 by Jam Donaldson, Sean Donaldson, Ron Evans Steven Hamblin & Doug Simpson as an event in our gallery to give a combined platform for musical & visual art with social engaged artist, designers, photographers, etc. We act as the Boys & Girls Club of art. All RAREHOUSE programming is structured around our core principles of community, self-love & determination and overall wellness. IMPACT: Since 2016 we’ve quickly grew into a series of events headlining some of musics biggest names before they hit the mainstream (i.e Post Malone, Playboi Carti, 21savage etc) Our next step, we rented a gallery that we collaborated with over 100 independent brands to curate events highlighting over 1000 artists professional & independent from multiple genres not only in LA but across the US. We have developed a family like relationship with the minority youth in LA and made it our mission to provide a safe and nurturing place to create. RAREHOUSE STUDIOS: Our music studios will provide affordable and quality space to create with professional engineers and network with the best upcoming talent in the world, through our Art camps we will provide a hands on experience with contemporary musical programs and instruments. Our film & art studio gives creatives a opportunity to utilize a large space to create larger scale projects and ideas also at an affordable rate. RAREHOUSE studio will be an art and design firm in which we train youth in paid apprenticeship to execute real-world client work with long term intention of self-sustaining experience through earned revenue. This experience will help them gain confidence and equip them with the tactics to become change makers. 2) What We Need PHASE 1: We need to raise the first 20k to purchase the cyc wall, multiple sets for filming , quasar lights, camera crane, professional audio equipment for each studios, furniture, etc. We’ll also use local contractors to build the recording booths and stage. PHASE 2: For Phase 2 we need to raise 10k for the permits, fees, building materials, & construction. In addition to grants and partnerships revenue from merchandise, art, studio rental and future events will sustain our programming beyond the the build.
