The coronavirus outbreak has shocked the globe and left some of us feeling saddened and isolated. However, the majority of us are still in a comfortable condition when compared to people in other parts of the world. The Rohingya refugees have already gone through one of the worst ethnic cleansings of our recent times.
RCF believe that this is a time for solidarity and throughout this ever-evolving situation, with your support, we can work towards lightening the burden of Rohingya refugees in Bangladesh. The economic toll of the novel pandemic has affected humanitarian aid agencies worldwide, and in order for RCF to sustain the Rohingya projects, help is urgently needed.
RCF are working towards multiple UN sustainable developments goals to ensure healthy lives and to promote the well being for Rohingya refugees. Our goals include tackling oral disease, developing oral health educational programmes and focusing on ensuring quality education.
With the help of OBAT our on the ground partners, we have treated thousands of Rohingya refugees, in our permanent dental clinic, the only one if its kind in the whole camp. We will also be funding a learning centre which will provide 90 children with a much needed education. In addition this month, we will be focusing on providing families with food packs.
Each family food pack will consist of chickpeas, daal, oil, rice, onions, garlic/ginger, dates, tang, vermicelli, sugar, salt and milk. Our food packs are Zakat applicable and all families receiving food packs will be asked for consent on whether they are happy to accept Zakat donations in the form of food packs.
This is a time for us to come together globally, and show solidarity and support for the world’s most vulnerable communities. Our team is working hard to do what we can, but we need your help to allow us to do more.
Whatever you can contribute will allow us to make a difference and help save lives.
