Slightly more than half of Rochester's children live in poverty.

There is a powerful movement happening in our community today - the formation of the Rochester-Monroe Anti-Poverty Initiative . The creation of RMAPI is in response to widespread acknowledgement of the exceptional poverty rates in the City of Rochester, especially among our children.

Governor Cuomo recognizes the severity of the issue and has committed to match private dollars raised to support RMAPI, up to $10 million.

Our community leaders have raised almost $3 million but our city needs more help from you. These dollars are vital to create the cradle to career supports that every child and adult deserves.
