ROAD RAGE? Where are we heading?

Hi. My name is Angelina Peterson and I want to share my recent painful and shocking story. I have lived in Woodstock for 3 years and have no other family close. I am creating this go fund me account for my fiancé Jason Daxon.
Jason Daxon, my fiancée, is 25 years old. He was involved in a crazy tragic shooting at the intersection of Highway 92 and Woodstock Road in front of the CVS on Thursday, June 30th, 2022, at approximately 7pm. Jason was trying to pass a driver in a red truck to get into the other lane. The driver would not allow Jason to pass.
The traffic light turned red. That is where the 61-year-old driver of the red truck, Wade McEwan, and my fiancé ended up beside each other at the light. Then the unthinkable happened. The driver in the red truck grabbed his gun and fired 14 rounds into Jason’s car. The shooter didn’t even bother to roll down his own window, but instead fired his gun thru it. Jason immediately did a U turn to escape for his life and safety. He stopped in the median about a quarter mile away. Two bullets landed, one in his bicep and the other in his stomach. There was a police officer that witnessed the entire incident and several other drivers.
McEwan, the shooter, lives in Acworth, was caught and charged with aggravated assault, reckless driving, and reckless conduct. This is very hard for me to understand. He shot 14 times; I think he was out to murder my fiancée.
That deranged person tried to kill my child’s father, my heartbeat, my high school sweetheart. Jason is in critical care right now and is undergoing his second surgery on July 2.
Jason is my life partner, and I cannot imagine my life without him or our son, I am very thankful that our precious boy was not in the car when the crazy mess happened. Jason recently became a citizen of the United States on the 23rd of June, and we have been in high spirits celebrating until this happened.
All the donations from Go Fund Me will be used for his multiple surgeries and for home health services, so someone is there to help him on his road to recovery at home. We do not have health insurance and I must work extra hours to make up for his bills and mine. I will do as much as I can to help assist him daily, but we have an 11-month-old baby, who also needs my attention.
Whatever the community can do to help us in this difficult time, I am eternally grateful. I thank all the witnesses that came forth to share what they saw and gave statements to the police.
